Vodafone and Telekom launch new hardware and mobile data plans in Germany

Telecommunications providers in Germany are introducing new hardware and service offerings. Vodafone is expanding its cable router portfolio by adding the FRITZ!Box 6690 Pro to its rental selection starting August 27, 2026. This model replaces the previous FRITZ!Box 6690 and is the first in their lineup to support Triband Wi-Fi 7, utilizing the 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and 6 GHz bands to improve capacity and stability. The router can be rented for 9.99 euros per month with GigaZuhause cable tariffs.

Additionally, Vodafone is offering a deal where customers with a GigaZuhause 300 tariff can access GTA-6 via a specific code.

In the mobile sector, mobilfunk.de has updated its 5G tariffs within the Telekom network. The provider has removed connection fees and introduced new data tiers: 50 GB for 14.99 euros, 100 GB for 16.99 euros, and 160 GB for 19.99 euros. The higher-tier plans include a one-time 150 GB data depot to be used after the monthly allowance is exhausted. Klarmobil is also offering a bundle featuring an Apple iPad 11 (2025) with a 20GB LTE/5G plan, including various cashback and switching bonuses.
