Vodafone announces new Vodafone TV streaming service

Vodafone has announced the launch of Vodafone TV, a new plug-and-play streaming service and hardware box designed to compete with providers like Sky, Virgin Media, and Roku. The service, which will be available to both mobile and broadband customers starting in October, connects via internet connection rather than requiring a satellite dish or aerial.

The device runs on Android TV and provides access to the Google Play Store for various apps. It features 4K picture quality, Dolby Vision, and Dolby Atmos sound, supported by 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. The package includes access to over 200 channels via the Freely service, along with bundled subscriptions for Netflix Standard with Ads and HBO Max Standard with Ads.

In addition to streaming, the platform offers cloud gaming capabilities, providing access to over 300 games that can be played using a Bluetooth controller or a smartphone. Customers also have the option to add further services such as Disney+, Amazon Prime Video, and YouTube Premium through a subscription model.
