Vodafone data reveals marathon phone calls in Australia

New data from Vodafone indicates that extremely long phone calls are occurring in Australia, with several instances significantly exceeding the official Guinness World Record of 46 hours.

The longest recorded call in the 2026 dataset originated from Yangebup, Western Australia, lasting 210.40 hours, or approximately 8.8 days. Other notable marathon calls include a 171.21-hour connection from Norlane, Victoria, and a 129.12-hour call from Coombe, South Australia.

Every call in Vodafone’s top 10 list for the year lasted at least three days, demonstrating a trend of continuous connection that far surpasses previous established standards.
