Vodafone restores service after fiber and mobile outages in Spain and Portugal
Vodafone reported a localized fiber broadband outage affecting parts of the Levante region in Spain. The issue disrupted internet connectivity for residential and small‑business customers, while mobile services remained operational. Service recovery progressed throughout the day, with most affected areas regaining normal service.
In Portugal, a separate mobile network failure impacted the districts of Carnaxide and Alfragide. The problem, which began in mid‑July, caused calls and mobile data to be unavailable for users in those neighborhoods. Fibre and TV services were reportedly unaffected. Vodafone indicated the fault was tied to a specific base‑station sector and announced that service had been fully restored by the end of July.
