Vodafone Romania launches GEN10 youth sports program

Vodafone Romania has launched GEN10, a new initiative designed to identify and support talented young athletes in gymnastics and football. The program aims to provide scholarships, mentorship, and access to performance resources to help children overcome financial and logistical barriers to sports.

Olympic gymnast Nadia Comăneci and former international footballer Ciprian Marica will serve as mentors for the program. The initiative seeks to select 21 children—10 future gymnasts and 11 future footballers—to receive GEN10 scholarships. Comăneci emphasized that the goal is to help children develop their own unique potential rather than simply replicating the achievements of established champions.

Nedim Baytorun, CEO of Vodafone Romania, stated that the project intends to ensure that talent is discovered regardless of location and that children are not left behind due to a lack of support.
