Vogelsbergkreis and Sparkasse Oberhessen host blood donation drive after World Blood Donor Day

A joint blood donation event was held in the Aula of Sparkasse Oberhessen in Lauterbach, Germany, on June 15, the day after the international World Blood Donor Day. The drive was organized by the district of Vogelsbergkreis in cooperation with Sparkasse Oberhessen.

District Administrator Dr. Jens Mischak and First District Councilor Patrick Krug attended to thank volunteers from the DRK Blood Service Baden‑Württemberg‑Hessen and the local DRK chapter. The DRK noted a decline in blood reserves, and the event recorded roughly 65 registrations, encouraging first‑time donors to book appointments via the online portal.
