Vogelsbergkreis appoints three patient advocates

Three patient advocates in the Vogelsbergkreis district have received their official appointment certificates from District Administrator Dr. Jens Mischak. The volunteers will serve five-year terms at the Alsfeld District Hospital, Eichhof Hospital in Lauterbach, and Schotten Hospital.

These advocates serve as intermediaries between patients and medical staff. Their responsibilities include listening to patient concerns, receiving praise or complaints, mediating conflicts with doctors or nursing staff, and helping to resolve misunderstandings in the hospital environment.

Among the appointees is Gabriele Meyer-Jäger at the Alsfeld District Hospital, and Albrecht Schrimpf, who is beginning his second term at the Eichhof Hospital.
