Vogelsbergkreis hosts nature printing workshop

Sixteen participants completed a two-day workshop titled ‘Atelier Naturdruck – Farben der Heimat’ (Atelier Nature Printing – Colors of Home) as part of the Landenhausen Art Walk. Led by artists Friederike Greiner, Katja Niebuhr, and Christiane Tietz, the workshop focused on expressing the concept of home through colors and fabrics.

Participants created unique textile works using botanical linocutting, experimental color compositions, and a printing process that transferred real plant parts onto regional linen fabric. These materials were then crafted into individual pillowcases.

The resulting 16 textile pieces will be publicly presented during a vernissage on October 31 at 10:00 AM at the Lauterbach City Library, where they will remain on display for three weeks. A subsequent exhibition is scheduled for January 2027 at the Vulkaneum in Schotten. The event was a free initiative by the Vogelsbergkreis cultural funding department in cooperation with AZN Natur-Erlebnishaus e. V. and the BNE-Netzwerk, supported by the Hessian Ministry of Agriculture, Environment, Viticulture, Forestry, Hunting, and Home.
