Vogelsbergkreis secures funding for Lauterbach infrastructure
The Vogelsbergkreis district has secured significant funding for local infrastructure projects in the Lauterbach area.
In the district of Reuters, more than 93,000 euros in subsidies from the village development fund will be used to renovate the community center. The project, which has a total estimated cost of 117,000 euros, includes replacing aging wooden windows and updating exterior window sills to meet modern energy and functional standards. The building, a protected monument originally constructed in 1910, serves as a central hub for local clubs, cultural events, and community gatherings.
Additionally, the Adolf-Spieß-Platz sports facility in Lauterbach has received approval for renovation. The German Bundestag's budget committee has allocated 500,000 euros from the federal program for the renovation of municipal sports facilities. The total cost for the project is estimated at 1.2 million euros, with the Vogelsbergkreis covering the remaining 700,000 euros. The upgrades will include the installation of an artificial turf pitch and the renewal of the athletics track and floodlights, benefiting both school and club sports.
