Vapi secures $50M Series B, hits $500M valuation and 1 billion calls

Voice‑AI startup Vapi announced a $50 million Series B funding round led by Peak XV, with participation from Microsoft’s M12 venture fund, Kleiner Perkins, Bessemer Venture Partners and earlier investors, bringing its total financing to $72 million and valuing the company at roughly $500 million. The raise follows a ten‑fold increase in enterprise annual recurring revenue and the milestone of processing more than 1 billion calls on its platform, which now handles between 1 million and 5 million calls per day.

Enterprise customers include Amazon’s Ring division, New York Life, Intuit, ServiceTitan, Kavak and others. Ring migrated 100 percent of its inbound support calls to Vapi’s platform, noting improved customer‑satisfaction scores. Vapi’s API‑native solution lets businesses deploy configurable voice agents at scale for use cases such as inbound customer service, outbound collections, candidate screening and sales coaching. The company plans to use the new capital to expand engineering, infrastructure and go‑to‑market teams, while addressing reliability and guard‑rail enhancements as AI agents take on higher‑stakes workflows.

CEO Jordan Dearsley highlighted the platform’s role in making phone interactions more human‑like, and Peak XV partner Arnav Sahu called Vapi “the next Zapier for voice‑AI workflows.”
