Voice of the People Party supports Meghalaya deficit teachers

The Voice of the People Party (VPP) has expressed full solidarity with deficit teachers in Meghalaya who are currently agitating for their rights. VPP President Ardent Miller Basaiawmoit criticized the state government and the bureaucracy for what he described as insensitivity and arrogance in addressing the teachers' grievances.

The teachers are seeking resolution on several service-related matters, including Contributory Provident Fund (CPF), Dearness Allowance (DA) arrears, and retirement benefits. Basaiawmoit stated that these demands require time-bound action rather than bureaucratic excuses. He further called on the administration to exercise authority with humility and accountability, urging the state government to engage meaningfully with teachers' associations to resolve the outstanding issues.
