VoiceCast has developed a generative AI-powered system for Kyodo News designed to assist in the creation of broadcast news scripts. The system automates the initial process of converting newspaper articles into drafts suitable for broadcasting, adjusting information order, expression, and length for oral delivery.

In addition to news conversion, the system automates the creation of routine broadcast scripts for weather and disaster prevention information, such as heatstroke alerts and heavy rain warnings. To mitigate the risk of AI hallucinations, the system includes a feature that checks the consistency between the generated script and the original article, alerting users if discrepancies are detected. The workflow is designed to combine AI automation with human editorial oversight to ensure accuracy and quality.
