Voivodite wins bronze at Conference Champions League Crete 2026

The Bulgarian football team “Voivodite” secured the bronze medal at the Conference Champions League Crete 2026 international tournament held in Greece. The team achieved third place following a series of dramatic matches and significant squad challenges.

After an initial period of difficulty, including a 1-3 loss to a French side, the team secured consecutive victories against Polish, Italian, and Greek opponents. Despite losing in the semifinals on penalties after a 2-2 draw, the team moved to the bronze medal match.

In the decisive third-place game, “Voivodite” competed with only six healthy players and no substitutes or available goalkeeper due to injuries and illness. Despite these limitations, the Bulgarian side won the match with a score of 4-3.
