Vojin Mijatović and four others face abuse of office charges in Bosnia

The Special Department for Combating Corruption, Organized and Inter-cantonal Crime (POSKOK) of the Federal Prosecutor's Office has requested measures to prohibit Vojin Mijatović and four others from performing certain duties following the confirmation of an indictment for abuse of office.

Mijatović, the Federal Minister of Development, Entrepreneurship and Crafts, is accused alongside Nevzet Sefo, Adis Fajić, Bojan Lazić, Harun Mlivo, and the legal entity ‘38X Ventures’ d.o.o. Sarajevo. The prosecution has proposed that Mijatović be barred from certain professional activities, while Sefo and Fajić face bans on holding state official positions. Additionally, the prosecutor requested that all five defendants be prohibited from meeting with witnesses or communicating with the media regarding this criminal case.

The indictment alleges that between January and September 2025, the defendants acted as co-perpetrators to secure financial benefits for ‘38X Ventures’ d.o.o. Sarajevo. They are accused of manipulating a public tender for the selection of users for a portion of current transfer grant funds for 2025. Evidence suggests the group met two months before the tender was announced and that Mijatović organized an unusual presentation for the consortium to the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina while other participants were unaware of the upcoming competition.
