Vojnice vegetable self-harvest rescheduled due to rain

The large-scale vegetable self-harvest event in Vojnice, near Olomouc, has been rescheduled from Saturday to Sunday at 6:00 AM due to heavy rain forecast for Friday night. Farmer Ladislav Kašpar noted that the rain would make it impossible to drive vehicles onto the fields on Saturday.

Participants can pick carrots, parsley, tomatoes, beets, and onions at last year's prices. However, Kašpar warned that yields and produce size may be lower than last year due to extreme drought and high temperatures. Carrots, tomatoes, and beets are priced at 9 CZK per kilogram, while parsley is 15 CZK per kilogram. Melons may also be available if they ripen in time.

Due to ongoing road reconstructions in Vojnice, access is restricted. Visitors from Olomouc are advised to take detours through Těšetice, Senice na Hané, or Příkaz to avoid traffic congestion.
