Vojtěch Koška contends for lead at Sardinia Grand Slam

Czech kiteboarder Vojtěch Koška has emerged as a top contender at the 2026 Sardinia Grand Slam in the Formula Kite Olympic class. Following a strong start where he won the first heat, Koška has maintained a high position in the standings.

As the competition enters its final stages, Koška holds second place, trailing leader Italo Pianosi by only a single point. Despite facing light and variable wind conditions, which are not his strongest specialty, the athlete has successfully adapted to the local conditions at Quartu Sant’Elena.

Beyond the immediate competition, Koška is using the event as critical preparation for the upcoming Olympic nomination race in Fortaleza, Brazil. Following the conclusion of the Grand Slam, he plans to continue training in Sardinia before moving to the Canary Islands and eventually Brazil.
