Vojvodina celebrates 30th Saint Stephen Day in Subotica

The Alliance of Vojvodina Hungarians (VMSZ) held its 30th central Saint Stephen Day celebration in Subotica. The jubilee event focused on the preservation of the Hungarian community in Vojvodina, economic development, and the importance of political representation.

During the ceremony, VMSZ President Bálint Pásztor delivered a speech emphasizing the need for independent political representation in upcoming elections to ensure the interests of the Hungarian community are met. The program included an ecumenical bread blessing by various religious leaders and performances by the Subotica Brass Band.

A major highlight of the festivities was a concert by Kossuth Prize-winning singer Magdi Rúzsa at the Great Park by Lake Palić. The concert drew thousands of attendees from various settlements within Vojvodina, as well as international visitors from Austria.
