Vojvodina Hungarian Alliance ramps up for Serbia's autumn parliamentary and council elections
The Vajdasági Magyar Szövetség (Vojvodina Hungarian Alliance) announced that it will begin intensive preparations for the upcoming autumn parliamentary elections and the Vojvodina National Council elections in Serbia. Party president Dr. Bálint Pásztor told listeners on Szabadkai Magyar Rádió that the Hungarian community in Vojvodina must present a unified front to maintain strong representation in the Belgrade parliament and to avoid vulnerability after the votes.
Pásztor highlighted the alliance’s 32‑year track record of earning voter trust and stressed the importance of coordinating with Hungarian officials in Budapest, citing meetings with Prime Minister Magyar Péter and other leaders. He also commented on recent civil‑organization delegations and affirmed that the alliance will continue to defend the interests of the Vojvodina Hungarian minority through cohesive political action.
