Vojvodina political groups collect signatures for presidential elections

Political activities are intensifying ahead of the presidential elections scheduled for October 25. The Alliance of Vojvodina Hungarians (VMSZ) has begun collecting supporting signatures for its candidate list across several locations, including Topolya, Bačka Palanka, Bački Kostolac, and Gunaraš. Local organizers reported smooth processes and steady turnout from citizens during the collection sessions.

Simultaneously, the ‘University Students Will Win’ list has submitted its supporting signatures to the Republic Electoral Commission. The list of 250 names has been released, featuring prominent figures such as basketball champion Dejan Bodiroga. Notably, the list includes two individuals from the Vojvodina Hungarian community: mathematics teacher Andrea Beszédes Nagy, ranked 49th, and art teacher Tibor Lázár, ranked 72nd, both of whom are positioned to enter the Skupština.
