Volante Technologies connects banks to both XRP and FedNow

Volante Technologies, a payment infrastructure provider, offers a platform that connects financial institutions to both Ripple’s XRP network and the Federal Reserve’s FedNow instant payment system. While market speculation has suggested a direct link between XRP and FedNow, the two systems operate as separate capabilities within Volante’s middleware.

Volante acts as a universal adapter for major U.S. banks, allowing them to access various networks including FedNow, RTP, Fedwire, and SWIFT. Although Volante has integrated Ripple solutions since 2015 and was an early processor for FedNow in 2023, there is no official confirmation or endorsement from the Federal Reserve positioning XRP as a service provider for FedNow.

Despite the lack of a direct pipeline between the two, the technical capability for a bank using Volante to utilize XRP for settlement while simultaneously accessing FedNow rails has driven increased market interest and network activity for XRP.
