Volaris adds direct Puebla‑Chicago, Acapulco and Puerto Escondido flights

Mexican low‑cost carrier Volaris announced a major network expansion from Puebla’s Hermanos Serdán International Airport. Starting 1 December 2026 the airline will launch three new nonstop routes: an international service to Chicago O’Hare in the United States and two domestic beach destinations, Acapulco in Guerrero and Puerto Escondido in Oaxaca. The Chicago connection makes Volaris the only commercial airline offering a direct Puebla‑Chicago flight.

The new routes are part of a broader rollout of eight additional services that will also link Puebla to Las Vegas, Guadalajara to Washington Dulles and Atlanta, and add connections to Guatemala City and Medellín, strengthening Volaris’s presence in the United States, Central America and key Mexican tourism markets. The airline says the moves respond to growing passenger demand and aim to boost commercial, industrial and tourism exchanges. Tickets for all new routes are already on sale through Volaris’s website and mobile app.
