Volatus Aerospace secures Canadian defense drone contract

Volatus Aerospace has secured a five-year framework agreement with the Canadian government to supply tactical ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance) drone systems to the Canadian Armed Forces.

The initial order consists of 100 tactical ISR drone systems, with options for up to an additional 4,900 units. The total contract value is capped at a maximum of 25 million Canadian dollars, with a maximum price of 5,000 Canadian dollars per system. The first deliveries are scheduled to begin in the fourth quarter of 2026.

This contract follows Volatus Aerospace's recent qualification for all five areas of Canada's Defence Drone Initiative (DDI). Following the announcement, the company's stock experienced a rise of approximately 14 percent.
