Volex expects profit to reach top of forecasts following strong revenue growth
Volex, a London-listed power and data transmission manufacturer, reported that its full-year underlying operating profit is expected to reach the upper end of market forecasts. The company anticipates revenue of at least $710 million for the six months ended September 30, representing organic growth of at least 21% at constant exchange rates.
The company noted growth across every end-market during the first half. Key drivers included strong performance in the electric vehicle and electrification sectors, as well as aerospace and defense applications within its Complex Industrial Technology division. While data-center revenue exceeded previous year levels, it fell compared to the second half of fiscal 2026.
Volex also highlighted the impact of its acquisition of Kepler SignalTek, which it now wholly owns. The acquisition expands its medical business into products that connect equipment to patients. The company expects second-half revenue to remain broadly similar to the first half, despite approximately $10 million in accelerated purchases from customers ahead of U.S. manufacturing site consolidations.
