Volksbank launches digital and financial education program for 1,200 students in Veneto schools

Volksbank partnered with the non‑profit Movimento Etico Digitale to run a digital and financial education series in secondary schools across the Veneto region of Italy. The initiative reached eleven schools in the provinces of Verona, Treviso and Vicenza, covering 57 classes and about 1,200 students. Four additional sessions were held for parents, drawing 170 participants.

The programme addressed online fraud, digital well‑being and basic finance, responding to a recent survey that found 77.5 % of teenagers feel dependent on digital devices. Bank experts and movement educators facilitated interactive discussions rather than traditional lectures. Mariano Paris, head of Corporate Communication and Marketing at Volksbank, said the project aims to help young people evaluate information critically and make responsible digital and financial choices. Davide Dal Maso, founder of Movimento Etico Digitale, highlighted the importance of direct dialogue with students.
