Volkshochschule des Vogelsbergkreises launches autumn semester

The Volkshochschule des Vogelsbergkreises is launching its autumn semester on August 31 with over 400 courses. Under the motto “Allein? – Begegnungsort vhs” (Alone? – vhs Meeting Place), the institution aims to foster community and social interaction.

A central theme for this semester is loneliness, which the school intends to address through various perspectives within its social studies department. Specific offerings include courses on resilience, dealing with loss, oral history, and legal precautions such as living wills and care directives.

The program also features new courses regarding democracy and gender equality in rural areas, as well as topics related to heritage and language. Additionally, the curriculum includes diverse creative activities such as dance, painting, photography, and specialized programs for children and adolescents.
