Volkswagen advances in Brazil with executive honor and ID.4 electric SUV launch

Volkswagen do Brasil is marking significant milestones in leadership and electrification. Roberto Cortes, President and CEO of Volkswagen Caminhões e Ônibus, has been awarded a lifetime title of ‘Special and Permanent Personality’ by Autodata. This unprecedented recognition, decided by reader vote, honors his contributions to the automotive industry.

Simultaneously, Volkswagen has launched the ID.4 in Brazil, marking the official arrival of the brand's electric SUV lineup in the country. The launch event, held in Campinas by Grupo Germânica and attended by Volkswagen do Brasil President and CEO Ciro Possobom, introduces the first 100% electric SUV to be commercialized by the manufacturer in the Brazilian market. The ID.4 is built on the MEB modular electric platform and is intended to spearhead the company's electrification strategy in the region.
