Volkswagen Anhui begins pre-sales for ID. UNYX 09 electric sedan

Volkswagen Anhui, a joint venture between Volkswagen and JAC, has opened pre-sales for the ID. UNYX 09, a smart electric sports sedan. This model is the second vehicle developed through a partnership between Volkswagen and Xpeng, following the ID. UNYX 08 SUV.

The sedan is positioned in the competitive B-segment of the Chinese market, with prices ranging from 199,900 yuan ($29,620) to 249,900 yuan. It features a fastback design and measures over 5 meters in length.

Technical specifications include a 91.963 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery pack supplied by CATL. The single-motor rear-wheel-drive version produces 230 kW and offers a CLTC range of up to 755 km, while the dual-motor all-wheel-drive version produces 370 kW total and offers a 705 km CLTC range. The vehicle utilizes Xpeng’s Turing AI assisted-driving chip, which provides 750 TOPS of computing power, supported by a sensor suite including 11 cameras and multiple radars. An official launch is scheduled for late October.
