Volkswagen Caminhões e Ônibus launches heavy off-road truck

Volkswagen Caminhões e Ônibus has launched the new Constellation 33.540 6x4, an extra-heavy off-road truck designed primarily for the agribusiness sector. The vehicle features a Gross Combined Weight (PBTC) of 91 tons and a standard Maximum Traction Capacity (CMT) of 125 tons, which can reach up to 150 tons under specific technical configurations.

Equipped with the new D26 Ultra 540 hp engine, the model is calibrated for severe use and offers up to a 5% increase in fuel efficiency compared to previous generations. To handle rugged terrain, the truck includes structural reinforcements to the chassis, redesigned hitch ramps, a reinforced fifth wheel, and an elevated suspension for improved ground clearance and approach angles. The cabin also features a new automatic height-adjusting pneumatic suspension system to reduce driver vibration.

In addition to this product launch, the company is marking 45 years of international exports, having reached a milestone of 200,000 vehicles shipped to global markets. The manufacturer's presence now extends to over 30 countries across Latin America, Africa, and the Middle East.
