Volkswagen Caminhões e Ônibus secures record truck sale in Honduras

Volkswagen Caminhões e Ônibus has completed its largest sale to date in Honduras, negotiating the delivery of 375 trucks to the national government. The order includes 300 units of the VW Constellation 17.250 with Euro 3 engines and 75 units of the Constellation 17.280 featuring Euro 5 technology.

The vehicles are intended to strengthen local infrastructure and emergency response capabilities across Honduran municipalities. The fleet will consist of 250 tipper trucks and 125 water tanks with a 9,000-liter capacity. Each municipality is expected to receive a basic equipment set of two tipper trucks and one water tank to increase autonomy for essential services.

This initiative aims to improve the ability of local administrations to respond to floods and climate-related events that frequently impact road infrastructure. The new equipment will allow for faster road recovery, material removal, and water supply, reducing reliance on external aid.
