Volkswagen launches limited‑edition Virtus Anniversary model in India

Volkswagen has introduced a special Anniversary Edition of the Virtus midsize sedan in India to mark the model’s four‑year presence. Only 150 units will be produced and sold at an ex‑showroom price of about ₹19.2 million (≈ Rs 19.20 lakh). The edition is based on the GT Plus Sport trim and features a unique Avocado Pearl paint finish, black roof, black alloy wheels and a suite of visual upgrades.

The powertrain remains unchanged, using the 1.5‑litre TSI EVO turbo‑petrol engine (150 hp, 250 Nm) paired with a seven‑speed DSG automatic. Standard equipment includes a 5‑star Global NCAP safety rating, six airbags, an 8‑inch digital cluster, a 10.1‑inch infotainment screen, a sunroof and over 40 safety features. Buyers can add optional accessories such as a 360° camera, front parking sensors and puddle lamps.
