The Polish automotive market experienced significant growth in September 2026, with passenger car registrations reaching 56,400 units. This represents a 13% increase compared to the previous year and a nearly 23% rise from August.

Institutional clients drove much of this momentum, accounting for 67.3% of registrations, while individual customers made up 32.7%. Since the beginning of the year, approximately 470,500 new passenger cars have been registered in Poland, a 10% year-on-year increase.

Toyota remains the market leader with a 13.9% market share, followed by Skoda at 10.5% and Volkswagen at 7.6%. Notably, Chinese brands have gained substantial ground, accounting for 15.6% of all registrations in September, with the brand MG securing seventh place and surpassing established manufacturers like Dacia, BMW, and Hyundai.
