Vollenhove announces open day for upcoming flower parade

The Corso Vollenhove organization has announced an open day for Saturday, August 22, 2026, allowing the public to view the preparation of the upcoming flower parade. The event provides a close-up look at the construction of massive parade floats and the cultivation of thousands of dahlias.

Visitors can follow a route starting from the Vlasschuur in Vollenhove to observe various float-building groups, including Fatal Attraction and De Vereniging, who are working on new designs titled ‘Actie’ and ‘Sushi’. Additionally, groups Nameless and Project NMLSS have moved their construction site to Marknesse. Presenter Jochem van Gelder will be documenting the building process and the atmosphere at various locations.
