Volleyball and Beach Volleyball Set for European University Games 2026 in Salerno

The 2026 European University Games will be held in Salerno, Italy, from 18 July to 1 August. Volleyball competitions begin on 17 July, featuring 32 university teams—16 men and 16 women—at the Baronissi Campus, which provides four indoor halls for the matches.

Beach volleyball will take place from 28 July to 1 August, with 48 teams (24 men, 24 women) competing on four sand courts also located at the campus. The tournament format includes group stages, knockout rounds and classification matches for places 17‑24.

Organisers highlighted extensive volunteer support, with around 150 volunteers assisting athletes and spectators. The event aims to foster cultural exchange among participating universities across Europe.
