Volleyball athletes compete for Los Angeles 2028 Olympic qualification

The road to the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games is beginning for various volleyball disciplines. In beach volleyball, the European Championships will be held in Stare Jabłonki, Poland, from August 12 to 16, 2026. The tournament features 64 duos from 14 countries, including 10 Polish pairs, and offers a historic opportunity as winners will secure qualification for the 2028 Olympics.

For indoor women's volleyball, qualification paths are being established through continental championships in 2026. Five teams will qualify by winning their respective regional tournaments: NORCECA (Dominican Republic), Asia (China), Europe (various locations), Africa (Kenya), and South America (Brazil). Additionally, three spots will be awarded to the top teams from the 2027 World Championships in the US and Canada, and three spots will go to the highest-ranked FIVB teams that have not yet qualified.
