A 23-year-old volleyball coach has been arrested in Palma, Spain, following allegations of sexually assaulting a 15-year-old player. The investigation, led by the National Police's Unit for Attention to Family and Women (UFAM), indicates the incident occurred in June after the coach invited the victim and a teammate to his home for a meal.

Following the assault, the victim became pregnant, a fact confirmed by medical tests at Son Espases University Hospital. The minor subsequently terminated the pregnancy. Reports indicate the coach attempted to contact the victim via WhatsApp in the weeks following the incident.

The suspect, who is of Bolivian nationality, has been expelled from the Entreculturas Montesión volleyball club. A judge has ordered his release with a 200-meter restraining order and a prohibition on communicating with the victim while the legal proceedings continue.
