Volleyball community mourns loss of Arkadiusz Gołaś and Georg Grozer senior

The volleyball community is mourning the loss of two notable figures.

Arkadiusz Gołaś, a talented Polish middle blocker, is remembered 21 years after his tragic death. Gołaś rose through the ranks of clubs like MKS MOS Wola Warszawa and AZS Częstochowa, achieving success at the youth level including a bronze medal at the Cadet World Championships. His career culminated in representing the Polish national team at the 2004 Athens Olympic Games.

Additionally, the German Volleyball Federation has announced the passing of Georg Grozer senior. Born in Budapest, Grozer had a significant international career, representing both Hungary and Germany. His achievements include winning the CEV Cup with Moerser SC in 1990 and multiple Hungarian championships. He also served as a coach for Moerser SC between 2006 and 2009.
