Volleyball matches scheduled in Omaha involving Omaha and Westside teams

Omaha Volleyball is beginning its home tournament schedule in Nebraska. The Mavericks will host Western Michigan, Louisiana Tech, and Chicago State. Freshman middle blocker Dara Obeid recently recorded 11 kills and five assisted blocks in a victory over Central Michigan.

In local high school sports, the Westside Warriors volleyball team, currently holding a 2-5 record, is set to host the Lee’s Summit Tigers from Missouri. Head Coach Andrew Wehrli noted the team is working to improve defensive positioning and endurance as they face out-of-state competition.
