Volleyball results: Nevobo Cup progress and Queen & King of the Court updates

The first round of the Nevobo Cup has concluded, determining the pool winners who will advance to the second round scheduled for the week of October 17. In the women's division, 24 teams have qualified, a number that will increase to 34 once the Superdivisie teams join. Notable advancing teams include VC Sneek D2, Dynamo Tubbergen, and VV Utrecht Dames2. In the men's division, 24 teams also advanced, which will increase to 34 with the addition of Superdivisie teams. Advancing men's teams include Donitas, SSS Heren2, and Zaanstad.

VoCASA Nijmegen reported significant success across multiple teams, with VoCASA Dames 2 advancing as an undefeated pool winner. Additionally, the VoCASA Heren 1 team achieved an international milestone by reaching the final of a tournament in Bosnia, securing a 3-2 victory against Zagreb in a five-set match.

In Utrecht, the Queen & King of the Court tournament continued with intense competition for semifinal spots. In the women's Queen of the Court event, nine of the ten semifinalists have been identified, including pairs such as Raïsa Schoon and Ana Patricia, and wildcard winners Floor Hogenhout and Nigella Negenman. Lisa Luini and Benthe Essink secured the final semifinal spot through the play-offs. The men's King of the Court competition also saw active battles for the remaining semifinal tickets.
