Volodymyr Zelenskyy faces declining trust and potential election losses in new poll

A new poll conducted by the Sociological Center Socis indicates a decline in political standing and trust for Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. If presidential elections were held immediately, the survey suggests Zelenskyy would secure 22.3% of the vote in the first round, placing him sixth in terms of overall public trust.

The data suggests that in a hypothetical second-round runoff, Zelenskyy would likely lose to several key political figures. Potential victors identified in the modeling include Valerii Zaluzhnyi (former Commander-in-Chief), Kyrylo Budanov (Head of the Presidential Office), and Mykhailo Fedorov (former Defense Minister).

Regarding public trust, the poll reports that 37% of respondents do not trust Zelenskyy at all, while only 18% express full trust. In contrast, former Commander-in-Chief Valerii Zaluzhnyi holds the highest level of trust among respondents. While elections cannot currently be held due to martial law following the Russian invasion, the survey reflects shifting social moods and the rising influence of military-associated figures.
