Volos mother to face trial for child pornography and sexual abuse
A 51-year-old woman from Volos is scheduled to stand trial at the Larissa Misth Court in November for the production and distribution of child pornography and the sexual abuse of her minor daughter. The alleged crimes took place between April and July 2024.
According to judicial documents from the Volos Misth Court of Jurists, the defendant is accused of creating and possessing digital material, including two videos and at least 17 photographs, depicting the sexual abuse of her daughter, who was under 12 years old at the time. The material was allegedly sent to a third party via a communication application with the expectation of financial compensation.
The defendant faces multiple felony charges, including the production, possession, and distribution of child pornography through information systems, as well as incest and repeated sexual acts against a minor. The woman is currently in pre-trial detention.
