Volos police arrest suspect following sexual abuse allegation against 9-year-old

Police in Volos have arrested a suspect following an allegation of sexual abuse involving a 9-year-old girl in the Magnesia region. The incident came to light on the afternoon of Thursday, September 10, after the child disclosed the abuse to her parents.

The victim was immediately taken by her father to a regional health center and subsequently to the Achillopoleio General Hospital in Volos, where an alarm was raised. The Volos Prosecutor's Office and local police were notified of the situation.

The child has remained at the hospital under the supervision and support of a psychologist. Authorities are currently conducting an investigation to clarify the exact circumstances and details of the reported incident.
