Volos to host two-day World Mental Health Day event

Volos will host a two-day event to commemorate World Mental Health Day on Saturday, October 10, and Sunday, October 11, 2026. The activities will take place on the city beach in front of the University of Thessaly's Papastratou building.

Organized by the Panhellenic Federation of Mental Health Associations (POSOPSY) in collaboration with the Association of Families, Caregivers and Friends (SOPSY) of Magnesia, the event aims to raise public awareness regarding mental health issues. The program includes informative booths and various artistic and musical performances.

A major musical and artistic program is scheduled for Saturday afternoon, featuring performers such as Nikos Mergialis and the 'Mousikoi Ichnilates', Nikos Karavousianis with Kostas Stamatiou, Stefanos Kakko and his team, and the group 'SoulNuts'. Additionally, the University of Thessaly Musical Ensembles 'SYNOLA', the Seleste dance group, and students from the 'Dramatic Arts School 100' will participate.

Various mental health organizations and social services from across Greece, including Athens, Evros, Thessaloniki, Ioannina, Patras, Rethymno, and Serres, will be present with information booths. Other participating entities include the Red Cross and several local social rehabilitation and educational organizations.
