Volotea launches direct Murcia‑Algiers flight

Spanish low‑cost carrier Volotea announced a new route linking the Region of Murcia's international airport with Algiers' Houari Boumédiène Airport. Tickets have been on sale since July 17 and the first flight is scheduled for 28 November, operating twice weekly on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Departures from Murcia are at 17:30 arriving in Algiers at 18:45; the return leaves Algiers at 19:45 and lands in Murcia at 21:00.

The service represents the first direct air connection between Murcia and Algeria and expands Volotea’s network to seven routes across four countries (France, Italy, Spain and now Algeria). The airline cites the route as part of a strategy to mitigate seasonal tourism fluctuations and to boost year‑round visitor numbers to the region.
