Volt nominates Nancy Meyer and Sebastian Michl for NRW Landtag 2027

The Volt party in the Unna district of North Rhine‑Westphalia has announced its two candidates for the 2027 state parliamentary election. Nancy Meyer, a 42‑year‑old comprehensive‑school teacher and deputy federal chair of Volt, will run in the Unna I constituency (Unna, Fröndenberg, Holzwickede, Schwerte). Sebastian Michl, a 39‑year‑old IT project manager and member of the district council’s labour, social and family committee, will stand in Unna II (Lünen, Selm, Werne). Both candidates must gather supporting signatures to qualify for the ballot.

Volt, while represented in the Unna district council and the European Parliament, has no seats in any German national parliament and is considered a newcomer in the upcoming NRW Landtag election. The party has not yet named a candidate for the third direct constituency, Unna III/Hamm II, which covers Kamen, Bergkamen, Bönen and Herringen.
