Volta Redonda begins installing Christmas decorations

The city of Volta Redonda has begun installing thematic Christmas decorations across various public spaces. The Department of Energy and Public Lighting (Deip) is coordinating the installation, which is expected to expand to more locations in the coming weeks leading up to December.

One of the first areas to be decorated is Rodovia dos Metalúrgicos, near Shopping Park Sul in the São Geraldo neighborhood, where approximately 90,000 LED lights have been installed and tested. Additionally, decorative elements have begun appearing at Praça Sávio Gama in the Aterrado neighborhood.

Mayor Antonio Francisco Neto stated that this year's project was designed to expand the city's luminous decorations to foster a sense of unity and celebration among residents and visitors.
