Volta Redonda to present Alzheimer's public policy model at national event

The municipality of Volta Redonda will present its public policy model for Alzheimer's disease at a national event in São Paulo. The initiative, titled ‘Despertando a Sociedade para a Saúde do Cérebro’, is organized by the Método Supera educational institution in partnership with the Brazilian Association of Gerontology (ABG).

Representing the Municipal Secretariat of Social Assistance, psychologist Danielle da Silva Freire will participate in a panel regarding public policies for dementia in Brazil. She will specifically detail the experience developed by the Centro-Dia Synval Santos in supporting elderly individuals with Alzheimer's and their families. The event aims to increase awareness of brain health and dementia-related issues through discussions involving specialists and academics.
