Volta Region hosts cultural festivals to promote unity and youth empowerment

The Volta Region in Ghana is hosting several cultural initiatives aimed at community development and youth engagement.

James Gunu, the Volta Regional Minister, has expressed support for the Togbe Afrika Homecoming held at the Infinity Stars Hotel in Penyi. The event marks the return of Togbe Afrika to the music scene after more than two decades. The initiative seeks to use music as a tool to encourage youth to pursue education and entrepreneurship while avoiding drug abuse.

Additionally, the seventh edition of the Avenor Tutudoza Festival has been launched in Avega-Agornu within the Akatsi North District. Under the theme “Peace, Unity and Security: Foundation for the Sustainable Development of Avenor,” the festival launch brought together traditional rulers, political leaders, and security agencies. Torgbui Dorglo Anumah VI, Paramount Chief of the Avenor Traditional Area, emphasized that peace and unity are essential requirements for the sustainable development of the region.
