Volterra police rescue two escaped dogs near SP15 road

Two medium-sized dogs that escaped from a garden in Volterra have been safely reunited with their owner following an intervention by the Polizia di Stato. The animals escaped through an open gate during their morning routine, causing significant distress to their owner due to the proximity of the nearby SP15 provincial road.

Local police officers on patrol located the disoriented animals wandering near the edge of the roadway on a small side road connected to the SP15. After the dogs initially retreated into thick vegetation, officers used patience and an empathetic approach to gain their trust. The dogs were successfully secured and returned to their owner, who expressed gratitude for the timely assistance.
