Volunteer competitions launched in Poland

Several initiatives aimed at recognizing volunteer work have been announced in Poland. In Rybnik, the Center for the Development of Social Initiatives (CRIS) and the Forum of Non-Governmental Organizations of the Western Subregion of the Silesian Voivodeship are accepting nominations for the 2026 Volunteer of the Year and Volunteer Coordinator of the Year. Nominations are open until November 2, 2026, and can be submitted for individuals, volunteer groups, or school volunteer clubs.

Additionally, the Ministry of Education and regional education boards have launched a nationwide competition titled ‘Every Gesture Matters’ for school volunteer clubs. Students in primary and secondary schools are invited to submit creative entries, such as short videos or photo collages, documenting volunteer activities conducted between January 1 and November 15, 2026. The deadline for these submissions is November 15, 2026.
