Volunteer Fire Brigades in Stary Bystre and Ciche Dolne Join Poland's National Rescue System

Volunteer fire brigades from Stary Bystre and Ciche Dolne are preparing to become part of the Krajowy System Ratowniczo‑Gaśniczy (KSRG), Poland's integrated rescue and fire‑fighting network. Membership will expand the pool of the best‑equipped and best‑trained units in the Czarny Dunajec municipality, granting higher equipment standards, regular state‑budget subsidies and access to specialised courses and training.

The KSRG already includes seven volunteer fire stations in the municipality—Ratułów Górny, Czarny Dunajec, Podczerwone, Piekielnik, Chochołów, Ratułów Dolny and Czerwienne Górne. In total the gmina operates 20 OSP units, while the whole Nowy Targ county has 102 volunteer brigades, about 30 of which belong to the KSRG. The integration process is overseen by the County Fire Service Command in Nowy Targ under Brigadier Piotr Domalewski, in cooperation with the municipal OSP union. Mayor Marcin Ratułowski highlighted that joining the KSRG will raise the standard of equipment, improve financing and deepen rescue training for the units.
